On Yi Home’s care home rankings are calculated after our team manually assesses each home across six dimensions. They are not generated automatically by an algorithm.
Each care home is scored across the following six dimensions, with each dimension rated out of 5:
- Care Quality
- Environment & Amenities
- Resident Care
- Meals & Nutrition
- Value for Money
- Location Accessibility
The scoring and calculation work as follows:
- The On Yi Home team scores each care home item by item in the admin system based on site visits and verified information. Scores range from 0.0 to 5.0 and are recorded to one decimal place.
- Overall score = the equal-weight average of the six dimensions (meaning all six dimensions carry the same weight), then care homes are ranked in descending order by overall score.
- If two care homes have the same overall score, their order is determined by the information update time.
- All care homes are assessed against the same standards to keep rankings fair and comparable.
