Older persons receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and living in a residential care home may receive the relevant standard rate according to their health condition. From 1 February 2026, the monthly standard rates are:
- Healthy: HK$4,345/month
- 100% disabled: HK$5,245/month
- Requiring constant attendance: HK$7,385/month
Residents of non-subsidised homes may also receive a """residential care supplement""" of HK$415/month.
Please note that CSSA only pays the standard rate and supplement. It does not pay residential care home fees in full. If a home""�s charges exceed the amount payable, the difference must be borne by the recipient or family members.
